We believe that the Berkshires has a bright future if we work together. To do that, we need to look to the technologies of today, and combine it with the wisdom of the past. We need to look for inspiration in our communities as well as in our creativity.

If you are going to use a passage of Lorem Ipsum, you need to be sure there isn’t anything embarrassing hidden in the middle of text. Having worked with the Blackshires team through collaborative efforts over the past several years, we
have seen the immense opportunity that their work has made possible, and the positive impact they’ve
had in enhancing equitable growth, and fostering meaningful and deep community building and
leadership development. Their programming builds a framework and scaffolding that helps to propel
underrepresented community members into new levels of influence and engagement, and supports them
in their social, professional, and career development.

The Blackshires Leadership Academy Accelerator Program has partnered with the city for the past two years, the value of this program was evident. The city was able to engage directly with the cohorts of black leaders through sharing resources, networking and ensuring that our tables accurately reflect the population of the city. The partnerships that Blackshires has created with this program are unique and progressive. The program demonstrates the need and the importance of this work. It is the City’s hope and desire to see the success of this program be replicated and expanded and we fully support the continued success of this impactful work in the City of Pittsfield.
